Lakme Fashion Week 2018: Kareena Kapoor Khan Breathes Life Into Anamika Khanna

Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is gearing up for the release of her film 'Veere Di Wedding', turned showstopper for Khanna and sashayed down the runway in a black impeccable-fit outfit.

Like ace designer Anamika Khanna said during the grand finale show, Kareena Kapoor Khan can make something really simple come alive. And there's quite no one like Kareena Kapoor Khan when it comes to a pulling off the simplest of outfits with utmost elan and elegance. The actor, who is gearing up for the release of her film Veere Di Wedding, turned showstopper for Khanna and sashayed down the runway in a black impeccable-fit outfit.

She made a grand entry in the finale show sporting a modern-age sari drape- in which a combination of a palla and pants- steals the show. The actor oozed out confidence and looked at ease as she walked from one side to another and struck a pose for the shutterbugs. The corset belt and lace-work on it made her 'Reinventing Nudes' look even more ravishing.

On being asked about the evolution of fashion in the film industry, Kareena told reporters that it's become the top-most priority for actors now. "Whether in terms of films or in an actor's personal life, fashion is a top-priority. In films, it's different because we're playing different characters and all actors are playing different roles- so the costumes make a character come alive," she said.

"Of course the youth of India loves fashion and everyone is discussing it, so why not. The actors have become more fashion conscious, as long as you are comfortable in what you wear. Because if you're comfortable in what you're wearing, it's automatically considered stylish and fashionable," she said.

The collection explored the diverse nude palette in association with the beauty brand and played with heritage of craft and texture alongside depicting a modern take on orthodox fashion with edgy cuts and traditional aesthetics.
