Sensex fails to hold early gains, ends 240 pts down
The market opened on a positive note this morning and stayed that way for the first two hours. It then changed track and took a trip down south in afternoon trade despite a positive inflation data. What altered the course of the market today was the advance tax payments figures of India Inc that suggested a weak report card for the third quarter of financial year 2008 - 2009. » full story
