New Suzuki Jimny SUV 4×4 has brilliant offroad capabilities – Video

Four accessory packages for Suzuki Jimny include Survival, Offroad, Heritage, and Revival.

The new Suzuki Jimny is claimed to be the best off-roading compact 4×4 SUV ton offer today. To be launched in Japan soon, and later in global markets, Suzuki has detailed the off-roading capabilities of the new Jimny SUV in official video.

Offered in grades of XG, XL, and XC, prices start from JPY 1,458,000 (INR 9,02,189) for manual variant and JPY 1,555,200 (INR 9,62,335) for automatic variant. Jimny Sierra manual variant is priced from JPY 1,760,400 (INR 10,89,310) onwards while prices for the automatic variant starts from JPY 1,857,600 (INR 11,49,456).

Host of accessories and customization options for the new Suzuki Jimny and Jimny Sierra has been detailed. Four such packages are available that include Survival, Offroad, Heritage, and Revival. These consist of cosmetic upgrades to fog lamps, door handles, ORVMs and roof rails, each with a selected theme. 16” rims are also offered as an option as has been mentioned in the brochure.

Apart from exterior styling kits, interiors can also be customized with a range of accessories such as seat covers, leather / leatherette trim accents and ambient lighting in a host of options. To protect the car from the vagaries of nature, the company has also introduced off road accessories. Watch the fully loaded variant in action below.

Buyers can also select from multiple styling kits and depending on kit selected, the Suzuki Jimny can be fitted with under-body protection, roof rails and roof carriers. Mud flaps, rear wheel cover options and front grille accents are also a part of the accessories on offer.

Suzuki Jimny and Jimny Sierra share similar styling cues. The two variants are offered in single color options of Jungle Green, Medium Gray, Blue Black Pearl, Silky Silver Metallic, Spare White and Pure White Pearl and in dual tones of Kinetic Yellow, Chiffon Ivory and Blyisque Blue Metallic.

India launch of the new Jimny is expected to take place next year. Maruti Suzuki has not confirmed it yet. But if it does gets launched in India, expect the Jimny to replaceo the iconic Gypsy.
