The Japanese telecom organization NTT DOCOMO as of late revealed what it claims is "world's first spherical drone display." Although it seems, by all accounts, to be a strong, globe-formed screen while in flight, the show is really an unmanned airborne vehicle (UAV, or automaton) inside a round casing with bended LED strips. The LEDs turn quickly amid flight, making the illusion of a spherical screen. The drone display was showcased April 29-30 during the Niconico Chokaigi conference, a festival of Japan's internet culture.
