BMW G 310 R/G 310 GS launch set for July 18

BMW it seems is all set to launch the highly anticipated motorcycles - the G 310 R and the G 310 GS in the Indian market on July 18, 2018, according to our sources.

Bookings for the G 310 R and the G 310 GS have already commenced with BMW accepting bookings for the motorcycle at a token amount of Rs 50,000.

To pre-book the motorcycles, customers can either visit a BMW Motorrad outlet or request a call back simply by filing up an inquiry form online at www.bmw-motorrad.in.

Newly conceived from scratch, the BMW G 310 R takes the typical BMW premium aspiration to the segment under 500 cc.

The BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS will be sold and serviced through the premium dealer network of BMW Motorrad that is present across important centers in India including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, and Kochi. BMW Motorrad's upcoming dealerships in Chandigarh and Kolkata will start accepting bookings of the motorcycles post-launch.

The two BMW motorcycles, R and GS are powered by the same engine, same chassis, but with different end games. The R is a naked-class motorcycle, while the GS is more of an adventure-tourer. The engine is a 312.2cc, single-cylinder which churns out 28Nm and 34bhp. The engine is liquid-cooled and fuel-injected and mounted 'backwards' so the fuel enters from the front with the exhaust port at the back. The bike gets USD forks with a preload adjustable rear monoshock as standard, with ABS.

Expect the pricing to be around Rs 3.5-4 lakh, ex-showroom.
