'83: Ranveer Singh purchases a bat signed by Sachin Tendulkar, Wasim Akram and Vivian Richards for 2000 pounds

On Monday, Ranveer Singh along with his squad of '83 was present for an event along with some legendary cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Sir Vivian Richards and Wasim Akram. Ranveer met the former Indian cricketers and got clicked in a frame.
The actor, who will be seen portraying the role of Kapil Dev in the film, also had a fanboy moment at the event. As per reports, Ranveer purchased a bat signed by Sachin Tendulkar, Wasim Akram and Vivian Richards for a whopping 2,000 pounds. In Indian rupees, the bat would cost for approximately Rs 1.75 lakh. The actor did not miss the opportunity and put the highest bid of 2,000 pounds making sure that he wins the autographed bat at the auction.
Helmed by Kabir Khan, the film is a based on India's historic win against West Indies at the 1983 Cricket World Cup. Besides Ranveer Singh, the film also features Saqib Saleem, R Badree, Harrdy Sandhu, Chirag Patil, Pankaj Tripathi, Ammy Virk and Saahil Khattar in quintessential roles.
