‘Sanju’: Kareena Kapoor Khan feels there’s no one better than Ranbir Kapoor to replicate Sanjay Dutt
Rajkumar Hirani’s 'Sanju' is one of the most-awaited films of 2018 and the first teaser of the film was unveiled last week. Starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, the teaser has raised the bar a notch higher as the actor's striking resemblance to Sanjay Dutt in various phases in his life is just awesome in every frame of the teaser.
While the entire film fraternity has applauded Ranbir’s commitment for the part, he has now received his share of praise from none other than cousin sister Kareena Kapoor Khan. Speaking on how Ranbir is apt for the role, Kareena told media at an event in the capital city, “Who better than Ranbir Kapoor to replicate the life of Sanjay Dutt. I don’t think there’s anyone better than him.”
Interestingly, Kareena has collaborated with Hirani in Aamir Khan starrer 3 Idiots while Sanju will be Ranbir’s first collaboration with the ace filmmaker. In fact, many a times, Kareena has expressed her desire to work with Ranbir too. She had earlier told Filmfare, “I would like to do a nice brother-sister story with Ranbir (Kapoor) at some point in life. There’s something magical about our pairing. I have never worked with my sister so hopefully I will work with my brother soon.”
Sanju, also starring Dia Mirza, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, is scheduled to release June 29, 2018. Meanwhile, Kareena will next be seen in Sonam Kapoor-starrer Veere Di Wedding, which is slated to release on June 1, 2018.
