Exclusive: Man attacking Tanushree in viral-video breaks his silence

On Monday, a video went viral on social media which showed the horror unleashed on Tanushree Dutta on the sets of 'Horn Ok Pleasss' in 2008.

Earlier, she had alleged Nana Patekar harassed her and later called goons. The video shows a man jumping on her vehicle, as others broke the windshield.

NewsBytes spoke to the man in the video and here's what happened.

At movie's set, Tanushree was attacked

The man seen in the video is Pawan Bharadwaj, who worked with Sahara back then. He said media got a whiff that something happened on the movie's set, and they went to cover it.

Pawan claimed he didn't know what happened, but when Tanushree came outside, four hours later, he rushed for a bite.

But her father asked them to leave her alone.

Tanushree's father, quite understandably, wanted to protect his daughter

"Her father smashed my camera on the ground and fought with a reporter of mine, asking not to cover the incident. The car tried to run me over, but I somehow escaped," Pawan said.

He said the car stopped at a 500-meter distance, and he went there with his broken camera.

"I asked for money for the camera, but she didn't come out," Pawan said.

Pawan says he lied down in front of car

"I hit the camera on the vehicle asking for my money. I lied down in front of the car and asked for compensation for my camera. This is all I know. I had no idea what happened between her and Nana Patekar," Pawan added.

Tanushree isn't at fault, says Pawan

Further, Pawan said neither he nor Tanushree have taken each other's names. He blamed the media for highlighting one aspect of the case.

"Tanushree is not at fault, she never said anything about me or Sahara," Pawan said.

When asked about taking the route of violence, Pawan asked, "What would you do if someone attacked you?"

We believe you, Tanushree!

Attempting to even understand what Tanushree went through, seems futile. After being harassed by a 'respected' star, a mob attacked her.

She said, recently, she didn't even know if she'll come out alive. No wonder Tanushree chose to start a new life in the US.

We hope Tanushree gets justice. She has suffered long enough, and this only shows the dark side of glamor.
