Friday, November 30, 2018 IST
It is highly disheartening to not be able to conceive while you are looking to complete your family. It is almost like everything was finally falling into place but something had to go wrong. And if it is because of what you could have done differently, the regret can be very unsettling. You might have even planned on visiting fertility clinics in Pune, Bangalore or even place on seeing IVF centres in Chandigarh, Jaipur, or any place where you may be residing in. But the question is, should you go, or not? So here are a few health complications to check out and try and work on or generally consider, if you are a woman who is trying to conceive and if you are a man and you want your wife to conceive.
Ovulation
One of the most common causes that will lead infertility is not being able to ovulate. To put it simply not being able to ovulate is not being able to release eggs. If you want to check, a common method is to check the BBT or even whether you are having a regular and good period cycle every month. The problem of ovulation could be because of PCOS – Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, which hinders the normal ovulation. It is an issue of hormone imbalance and one of the most common causes of infertility.
Another cause of infertility is the primary ovarian insufficiency or commonly referred to as POI. It is a sudden break in a normal functioning of the ovaries especially before the age of 40. However, it is not to be mistaken with a premature menopause.
Problems with the uterus
Another common cause that leads to infertility is having issues with the uterus. It is hard to pin point which issue is more responsible in hampering the chances of conceiving. However, one should always double check with the doctor for the issues with uterus while being unable to get pregnant.
Uterine Fibroids
Another cause of infertility is suffering from uterine fibroids. These are clumps of tissue or muscles which are seen on the walls of the uterus. It is to be noted that these are non-cancerous however hinder the process of fertilization.
Fallopian Tubes
Fallopian tubes are responsible in the path through which eggs are carried from the ovaries to the uterus. There are many cases where this tube is blocked. It could be because of either having a surgery for an ectopic pregnancy, endometriosis, or even having a pelvic inflammatory disease. Having blocked fallopian tube for whatever reason is an important aspect to consider when not being able to conceive.
Unexplainable causes
There are many cases where the doctors are not being able to distinctly tell what is leading to infertility. It could be very small factors from both the partners of the couple leading to a combined inability to conceive.
However, whatever the reason may be, one must try and visit the best doctor so as to begin the treatment and have a family they wish for.
