Pennsylvania Prisons to Stop Using Food Loaf as Punishment

Pennsylvania state inmates are now not being punished with the baked brown slabs called meals loaves.
The loaf changed into a combination of beans, rice, raw potatoes, carrots, cabbage, and oatmeal.
The branch of Corrections has stopped giving the food loaves to inmates in restricted housing who misbehave with their food.
The branch's govt deputy secretary, Shirley Moore Smeal, says officers are seeking to humanize the coping with of risky inmates in restrictive housing.
