Russian military says its air strike may have killed IS pioneer Baghdadi in Raqqa: Reports

Russia's defence ministry said on Friday it was checking data that a Russian air strike close to the Syrian city of Raqqa may have killed Islamic State pioneer Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in late May, Russian news organizations announced.

The air strike, directed a meeting of IS pioneers and was completed on May 28, the organizations refered to the ministry as saying.

"As per the data which is currently being checked by means of different channels, Islamic State pioneer Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who was dispensed with by the air strike, was additionally present at the meeting," RIA news organization cited the ministry as saying.

Engulfs tower fire: Massive fire engulfs 27-storey London tower, several trapped in homes

London: A huge fire tore through a 27-story apartment obstruct in west London in the early hours of Wednesday, police and fire administrations said.

The fire detachment said 40 fire engines and 200 firefighters had been called to the blast in Grenfell Tower, which has 120 pads.

"Fire is from second to top floor of 27 storey constructing," the fire benefit said on Twitter.

An emotional photo posted by the fire benefit demonstrated the side of the building inundated on fire.

Police said in an announcement they were called at 1:16am (0016 GMT) "to reports of an expansive fire at a square of pads in the Lancaster West Estate".

They said a departure of the square was "in progress" and no less than two individuals were being dealt with at the scene for smoke inward breath.

The loft square was worked in 1974.
