Remains Of 227 Sacrificed Children Found In Peru

We all love holidays. All the family gathered on the table and enjoying the perfectly served food. The roasted meat, the different types of salads, all of those sweets… we are not even noticing the amount of food we are consuming. And all we want after such a heavy meal is to take a nap, have some cup of delicious  tea or enjoy the desert. All of these sound like great ideas, but you should definitely avoid all of them if you aim to healthier lifestyle. Here are all the things you should never do after eating:

    Laying down
Let’s have a nap – the first thought most of the people have after a large meal. A long comfy nap, sounds so good, but did you know how bad can be for your health? Laying down after a heavy meal can only provoke bloating, acid reflux and discomfort. A study that was made at the University of Ioannina Medical School come to the conclusion that it would be the best if people wait at least 30 minutes before going to bed after a meal. That way they will lower the risk of having a stroke.

    Drinking tea
We all know that the tea is rich in tannin, but did you know that the tannin affects the iron to be absorbed in the blood properly? That’s why Dr. D. Raghunatha consults to avoid tea around one hour before and after having a meal.

    Eating fruit
Fruit is full of vitamins and minerals, so our bodies will be truly grateful if we consume it more frequently. But it would be fair enough if we also mention the quantity of fructose they consist.  Melina Jampolis, physician and nutrition expert, says that fruit has almost three times the calorie count as vegetable. She also added that eating more than 100grams per day can lead to weight gain. So avoiding fruit after a meal can help you to keep a fit body.

    Go for a walk
There are a lot of people that think that going for a walk after a meal can benefit your body, but the last researches say that this is only partly correct. According to the Department of Exercise Science at the University of South Carolina, people should go for a walk at least half hour after having a meal and the walk should be around 10 minutes. This way you will avoid heartburns and indigestion.

    Taking a shower
If you were thinking about to take a shower after the meal, forget about it! After having a meal all the energy and the blood flow is focused around the stomach and the intestines in order to digest the food. Do you know what will happen if you take a shower  right after eating? The brain will give an order to the blood to rush to the limbs to moderate the temperature, this will lead to bad digestion because of the limited blood flow.
