This Winter, Keep Yourself Warm With These 10 Incredibly Healthy & Delicious Hot Drinks

Winter is the season of fuzzy sweaters, festivities and staying in the blanket. But more than anything, winter is a rather cold season which is also the time we get down with colds. It is very important to protect ourselves from all that cold and what better than a steaming hot beverage. It is very important to know which drink isn’t just good for the palette but will also make you feel warm, fuzzy inside.

Hence, we got you a list of 9 beverages that will help you keep warm this chilly winter:

1. Spiced Milk

Even our mothers have told us about the importance of  this one as kids. The important ingredient here is the turmeric but add some cinnamon, black pepper and ginger to enhance the taste. It won’t just be a nice, warm drink to have but having a glass of spiced milk regularly can actually boost your immunity and make you healthier.

2. Masala Chai

There is no fixed recipe for this classic drink and every family has its own rendition. The base ingredients however remain as milk, sugar, cardamom, and ginger. The warmth that masala chai offers is one that has stood its ground over time and generations, with its aromatic familiarity and timeless power to soothe the mood. You could take “mathi” or cookies with it to make the experience even more fulfilling.

3. Hot Chocolate

The richness and creaminess of a warm cup of hot chocolate is more often than not a winter no brainier. There are multiple ways to concoct a delicious cuppa but the classic way involves shaved chocolate, melted chocolate or cocoa powder, heated milk or water, and usually a sweetener. Hot chocolate could be topped with whipped cream or marshmallows to add a dash of flamboyance and taste. A nicely done cup of hot chocolate will not only give you that much needed warmth but the flavanol in the chocolate will uplift your spirits and get you in that Christmas mood.
