HTC to open hundreds of virtual reality arcades

Taiwanese tech giant HTC will open hundreds of virtual reality gaming arcades in Taiwan, China, Europe and the united states via cease 2017 beneath its “Viveport Arcade” programme.
The enterprise is developing virtual fact games for its VR devices and hopes the gaming arcades will serve to sell its virtual truth Vive headset, the Taipei instances stated Saturday.
The programme will start in Taiwan and China after which be prolonged to the united states and Europe at an unspecified date.
HTC is hoping to increase its Viveport programme to net cafes, film theatres and virtual truth centres by means of providing a huge range of video games and reports at less costly prices.
Last week, HTC opened a virtual fact centre known as Viveland in Taipei, where the general public can strive its products without having to shop for them first for a price starting from $5 to $thirteen.
This year, HTC also teamed up with net cafes in China to sell the use of digital reality in the country.
The Taiwanese enterprise, which has so far centered on growing and generating cell phones, will compete with other manufacturers of virtual truth headsets in a still restricted marketplace.
