Deepika Padukone to play lead in Badlapur 2?
In the wake of inspiring fans and critics with her Hollywood debut xXx: Return of the Xander Cage, Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is said to have landed yet another testing part.
Reports assert that creators of Badlapur 2 may have finished Deepika as the lead, rather than Varun Dhawan, who did the first.
Maker Dinesh Vijan has had Deepika show up in the majority of his movies till date and he appears to have chosen that Deepika would be the hero in a spin-off of the 2013 thriller, a DNA report said.
"A spin-off of Badlapur, with a female protagonist and a totally new cast, is being arranged. Dinesh has bobbed the thought off to Deepika and she has cherished it. It's a character-driven part, much the same as Varun's was in Badlapur. The script isn't prepared yet and once that is done, the maker will give the on-screen character a full portrayal and get her dates obstructed for the film," it cited a source as saying.
