CBSE warning: Action to be taken against schools indulging in commercial activities

The Central Beard of Secondary Education (CBSE) has said that action is taken against Schools that enjoy business activities like commercialism books, uniforms, shoes and stationery items to students.
In Associate in issued recently, CBSE warned colleges across the country against forcing students to shop for overpriced textbooks created by personal publishers, instead of those belonging to the National Council of instructional analysis and coaching (NCERT) and also the Board itself.
The Delhi Police recently registered Associate in Nursing FIR against a personal publisher for “indecently representational process girls and misrepresenting the programme prescribed by the CBSE” in an exceeding category twelve education textbook. The book, that represented a 36-24-36 figure as the ideal body shape for women, drew widespread criticism in academic as well as social media circles.
“All CBSE-affiliated colleges were needed to follow the directions provided in an exceedingly circular issued on twelve.04.2016 relating to the utilisation of NCERT /CBSE textbooks, however, the board usually receives reports relating to the pressure exercised by colleges on kids to shop for textbooks aside from NCERT/CBSE,” the circular browse.
The CBSE, that provides affiliation to over 18,000 schools across the country, has started supply show cause notices to establishments found violating its norms. The board even withdrew its affiliation from a number of colleges in Uttar Pradesh when noticing discrepancies in their functioning.
