HRD ministry considering setting up specialised body for entrance tests

The human resource development (HRD) service is thinking about setting up a particular body to lead all placement tests right now held by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), sources said. These incorporate the National Eligibility Test (NET), JEE Main and National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) among others.
As per sources, this body will be a particular one with topic specialists as individuals and will lead examinations on the web. It will be displayed upon the Educational Testing Service (ETS) of USA which directs exceptionally particular tests all inclusive.
"Every one of the examinations that are led by CBSE and are not identified with school instruction will be led by the new body once framed. This will take away weight from the CBSE and will permit it to concentrate on its center exercises," said a source.
"CBSE will lead the examinations that it should accomplish during the current year and the following year till a choice on shaping the new body is taken," included the source.
Sources encourage said that HRD serve Prakash Javadekar has guided the service to discover approaches to speed up setting up the National Testing Service (NTS) to institutionalize the tests, which could profit understudies by giving auspicious exams, internet testing and moment comes about. There have been examples in the past when consequences of these tests have been deferred for a considerable length of time.
A month back the CBSE had raised worries over leading these exams expressing that it was a period expending exercise. It said the body was not able focus on center exercises identified with affiliations and leading its own examinations among others, as a result.
