Indian origin girl gets more points than Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein in the Mensa IQ Test
Thursday, October 25, 2018 IST
With 162 points in the very popular Mensa IQ test, 12 year old Indian origin girl Rajgauri Pawar surpasses the likes of Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein, who secured two points less than what Rajgauri has achieved.
By achieving this unbelievable feet at the age of 12, she becomes one of the youngest ever to have acheived this feet.
Pawar of Cheshire county has managed to become one of only 20,000 people to achieve the score worldwide. This indeed is an incredible achievement for a teenager as we’ve seen many people in their 20s get to this mark.
Generally, a person who gets above 140 is termed a “Genius” and that pretty much explains how difficult it is to get something around 160. Her father Dr Surajkumar Pawar, who is a research scientist at the University of Manchester and hails from Baramati in Pune district, is elated with a fact that his daughter has joined such an elite list at such a tender age.
“I was a little nervous before the test but it was fine and I’m really pleased to have done so well,” Pawar said. Pawar joins the elite British Mensa IQ Society as a member after her great performance.
Her father said, “This wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of her teachers and the support which my daughter enjoys every day at school”.
She studies at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls, which also expressed pride at her achievement.
“Everybody is delighted. She is a very well-liked student and we all expect great things from her,” said Andrew Barry, her maths teacher as quoted by Hindustan Times.
“I would like to pursue medicine in the future and am also inclined towards topics including Physics, Astronomy and Environment,” she said.
A young mind like Pawar working out such wonders at such a high level is seriously a commendable achievement and her performance has really made the entire nation proud.
