Pakistan Violates Ceasefire in Mendhar Sector; 45-year-old woman killed
Kupwara: A 45-year-old lady was dead in the shelling from Pakistan side in Jammu and Kashmir's Mendhar segment at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday.
"The lady recognized as Raqia Begum was an inhabitant of upper Golat in Mendhar," said Mendhar Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Riyaz Tantray.
In a different incitement the previous evening, Militants assaulted 42 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) headquarter in the woodland zone of Kalaroose Kupwara locale of north Kashmir.
The assault which occurred yesterday, harmed a trooper who was later moved to the military doctor's facility Drugmulla for treatment.
The inquiry operation is still on.
