Presidential election: Amit Shah Announces Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind is NDA's presidential candidate

New Delhi: Bihar Governor Ramnath Kovind has been chosen as NDA's presidential candidate , Amit Shah reported on Monday.

An official conclusion on the presidential's chosen one was taken today at the BJP Parliamentary Board meeting, which was gone to by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shah, including Union Ministers Sushma Swaraj, Rajnath Singh, Ananth Kumar, M Venkaiah Naidu and a few top pioneers.

BJP's Parliamentary Board is the gathering's most astounding basic leadership body.

While tending to a question and answer session in the national capital, Shah reported the choice.

Shah said there has been no exchange yet on names for the VP post.

The BJP boss said political gatherings had been educated of the NDA's decision. "I trust all will consent to the name," he said at a question and answer session.

About Ram Nath Kovind

Smash Nath Kovind, was conceived on October 1, 1945 at Kanpur Dehat, Uttar Pradesh.

Career as an Advocate - His Excellency, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, was Central Government Advocate in Delhi High Court from 1977 to 1979 and Central Government Standing Counsel in Supreme Court from 1980 to 1993. He moved toward becoming Advocate-on-Record of the Supreme Court of India in 1978. Had rehearsed in Delhi High Court and Supreme Court for around 16 years till 1993. He was selected as an Advocate in 1971 with the Bar Council of Delhi.

Career as a Parliamentarian - His Excellency Shri Ram Nath Kovind was chosen and moved toward becoming as Rajya Sabha MP in April 1994 from Uttar Pradesh and served for two back to back terms for a long time till March, 2006. Shri Kovind filled in as Member on taking after imperative Parliamentary Committees:-

- Parliamentary Committee on Welfare of Scheduled Castes/Tribes.

- Parliamentary Committee on Home Affairs.

- Parliamentary Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas.

- Parliamentary Committee on Social Justice and Empowerment.

- Parliamentary Committee on Law and Justice.

- Chairman of Rajya Sabha House Committee.

Slam Nath Kovind is hitched to Smt Savita Kovind. He has a child Prashant Kumar who is hitched and a little girl.

The BJP meet was held after a three-member party panel, involving Rajnath Singh, Naidu and Arun Jaitley a week ago met with partners and resistance parties.

New Delhi: Senior Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir on Sunday hit out at Kashmiri separatist pioneer Mirwaiz Umar Farooq requesting that he pack his bags and move to Pakistan after the last hailed Pakistan's win over India in ICC Champions Trophy last.

Gambhir took to Twitter to express, "A suggestion @MirwaizKashmir why don't u cross the border? U will get better fireworks (Chinese?), Eid celebs there.I can help u wid packing."

Gambhir's tweet came after Farooq praised the Pakistan Cricket Team on their triumph over Team India in the ICC Champions Trophy last hung on Sunday.

"Fireworks all around, feels like an early Eid here. Better team took the day. Congratulations team #Pakistan," he said.

Mirwaiz, a couple days back as well, had cheered for the Pakistan Cricket Team after their prevail upon England in the main semi-last match of the ICC Champions Trophy.

The chairman of Hurriyat Forum tweeted, "As we were completing taraweeh, could hear the sparklers blasting, very much played group #Paksitan. Good luck for the finals!"

This tweet of his earned the rage of many, including political pioneers, who asked the media and the general population to disregard the remarks made by `anti-national components like him.`
