Fisher Stevens,who directed Leonardo DiCaprio’s documentary on weather change, has found out that the actor close to death experience in 2010.
The forty one-12 months-antique Oscar-winner has a new documentary on climate alternate titled before the Flood. Stevens, in an interview with GQ, said DiCaprio almost drowned on their first expedition within the Galapagos and had to be stored by way of fellow actor Edward Norton.
“The second time we well spent time together was in 2010 when i used to be invited to film [oceanographer] Sylvia Earle for a TED conference excursion to the Galapagos. Leo become on the day trip,” Stevens recalled.
“I used to be filming Sylvia and that i had this little easy digital camera to shoot underwater, and he became Sylvia’s diving buddy, so I stated, ‘could you film Sylvia?’ And he stated, ‘Yeah i really like it guy, i really like it’,” he persevered.
“I used to be diving pals with Edward Norton. So we pass down and we see 300 Eagle Rays and spotted Rays and it became an excellent dive. Leo bolts away with Sylvia, and Edward goes in the front of me and the following element I understand after twenty minutes I’d misplaced them all. Then, I see Leo barely respiration, because Leo’s tank was leaking oxygen, and Edward had to shop him!”.
