NEW DELHI: "The boy turns into a teenager. Happy birthday my boy," read actor R Madhavan's post for his son Vedaant, who turned 13. In the black and white picture, Madhavan and Vedaant have been photographed together and the smile for the cameras. An adorable birthday post for Vedaant also arrived from his mother Sarita, who wrote on Instagram, "Happy birthday darling, love of my life, my heartbeat. May you have a very happy, exiting, healthy and super successful year ahead. May all your dreams come true. Can't believe he's a big boy, now 13, but for me he's still my baby."

(Happy birthday, Vedaant).
 
A few months ago, Vedaant won a bronze medal for India at an international swim meet in Thailand. Madhavan had shared the news on social media with a picture of Vedaant holding his medal and the certificate and wrote, "Proud moment for Sarita and I, as Vedaant wins his first medal for India in an international swim meet in Thailand. Thank you for all your blessings."
 
 
 

 
 

R Madhavan and Sarita married in 1999 and Vedaant is the couple's only child.
 
On the work front, Madhavan's last film as a main lead was 2017's Vikram Vedha while in the same year, he starred in a cameo in Magalir Mattum. His web series Breathe released some months ago. Savyasachi is his upcoming Telugu release while he also has a role in Shah Rukh Khan's Zero.
 
Meantime, due to a shoulder surgery, Madhavan had to opt out of Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan's Simmba.
