Hafiz Saeed under house arrest: 'Pakistan acting under pressure`

New Delhi: Defense Expert Brigadier (Retd) SK Chatterji on Friday said that Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed`s house arrest obviously shows that Pakistan is acting under weight right now.

"As Saeed is presently being put under house arrest alongside other four-five individuals and it created the impression that there was some kind of weight under which the Pakistanis were working," Brigadier (Retd) Chatterji said.

"The Pakistani Interior Ministry additionally created an impression that Hafiz Saeed conflicts with the enthusiasm of Pakistan which is a significant takeoff (from the prior stand)," he included.

In the interim, another safeguard master Ashok Kumar Behuria said this improvement is a flag from Pakistan to India and the world that Islamabad is not kidding about making a move against fear mongers.

Behuria additionally said that comparable moves have made place in the past too.

Pakistan`s Interior Ministry has incorporated the names of Hafiz Saeed and 37 others, who are subsidiary with JuD or Lashkar-e-Toiba, on the Exit Control List.

The Ministry has sent letters to all the common governments and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The move, which bans the 38 people from leaving Pakistan, comes two days after specialists set Saeed under house capture alongside four others to be specific Abdullah Ubaid, Zafar Iqbal, Abdur Rehman Abid and Qazi Kashif Niaz.
