Chennai Super Kings come up with the most savage reply to Mumbai Indians' tweet for best all-rounder trio
Wednesday, November 14, 2018 IST
Chennai Super Kings had the most savage reply to Mumbai Indians asking for a better all-rounder trio than Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya and Kieron Pollard.
MS Dhoni is Chennai's adopted son and he has deservingly earned the title of the 'Thalaivar' or 'Thala' from his fans for the kind of aura he brings to the pitch no matter where he is playing. He is to Chennai Super Kings, what Lionel Messi is to Barcelona, a game without their talisman is almost unimaginable for the fans of the respective teams. He has been CSK's captain right from the inaugural season of the IPL and has built a legacy for himself with every passing season.
On Tuesday when Mumbai Indians tried to troll Sunrisers Hyderabad with some top banter on Twitter, Chennai Super Kings ended up having the last laugh with the most savage reply to Mumbai's tweet. "Find a better allrounder trio. We will wait," Mumbai Indians wrote with a picture of the trio of Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard and Krunal Pandya. CSK in a reply, posted a picture of MS Dhoni alone and captioned it "Three faces." The reply garnered more retweets and likes than the original tweet by Mumbai Indians.
Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad were trolled by Mumbai Indians after they posted a picture of all-rounder trio of Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan and Shakib Al Hasan, trying to end the debate over which team has the best all-rounders. "The wait is over," SRH had replied to Mumbai's tweet with a picture of their trio to which Mumbai responded with a picture of the three IPL trophies won by the franchise and wrote, "the wait goes on,' taking a dig at the solitary IPL trophy in SRH's cabinet.
Dhoni led CSK to their third title last season while also reminiscing the vintage MSD, finishing games and destroying bowlers with the bat. Chennai and Mumbai are the most successful teams in the history of the competition with three titles each. Meanwhile, SRH's lone triumph came in 2016 under David Warner's captaincy.
