CSK captain MS Dhoni chills out in this sprawling weekend home with his wife, daughter and 3 pet dogs!

MS Dhoni, superstar cricketer and captain of the IPL team, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is riding the popularity wave with his team just having entered the IPL 2018 finals after the nail-biting defeat of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Shane Watson, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder, in a recent press conference before their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, had high praise for Captain Cool, MS Dhoni. “Just his feel and intuition for the game, I’ve experienced that with a few incredible players I’ve played with, MS is certainly right up there,” said Watson. And while the cricket star has been travelling extensively across India and internationally for T20 and IPL 2018 matches, it’s not a secret that MS Dhoni is immensely fond of his birthplace Ranchi in Jharkhand. That’s perhaps why the cricketer has built his dream home — his biggest house yet — in Ranchi.

MS Dhoni: Inside the CSK Captain’s Farmhouse

The cricketer along with his wife Sakshi Dhoni, his 3-year-old daughter Ziva Dhoni and three dogs seeks refuge in his new Ranchi farmhouse. Named ‘Kailashpati’, his Ranchi farmhouse includes a gymnasium, swimming pool, park, and even a few indoor stadiums for different sports. The 7-acre property took 3 years to build! Its mammoth area offers plenty of scope for gorgeous landscaping.

Freshly watered lawns go on forever, and only ends at the circular boundary, again lined with trees and shrubs of various sizes and shapes. The Padma Shree and Padma Bhushan winner’s new farmhouse is a 20-minute drive from his first home at Harmu Road—a more centric locale of Ranchi. MS Dhoni seems to have a favourite—Sam, the Belgian Malinois—among his 3 pet dogs. Sakshi has frequently posted photos and videos of the CSK captain playing with his furry friends in the lawn of this farmhouse.

MS Dhoni: The Complete Family Man

The cricketer’s love for green can be spotted inside the home too, which is decked with indoor flowering plants of various kinds. The home is interspersed with wooden and marble flooring, with a plush love for smart furnishings. Shades of cream, soft yellows and greys bring a western tonality to the home. When combined the earthy wooden shades of the flooring, ceiling and furniture, these light colours bring a relaxed vibe to the home.

Post a hectic cricket schedule, MS Dhoni can be spotted adoring his baby daughter in the living room, or cooking something scrumptious for his wife in the kitchen, or playing with his many dogs in the lawns of his family-friend farmhouse. Endearing videos of Ziva playing at this Ranchi farmhouse have cropped up on the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain and Sakshi Dhoni’s Instagram handles as well.
