Holi between CBSE Board Examinations 2019: 5 precautions to take if you decide to play with colours

Holi, the festival of colours would be celebrated across the country tomorrow. For students who are appearing for CBSE Board Examination 2019 and planning to play Holi, here are few precautions to take.

Holi, the festival of colours would be celebrated tomorrow across the country. Colours, playful mischief and loads of fun make it a festival for all ages. However, with the board examinations going on for CBSE students, the fun may come with concerns. Here are 5 precautions you can take if you decide to play with colours this Holi.

Experts agree that a good break and some fun may the perfect way to rejuvenate the mind and improve the performance in the on-going board examinations as well as the upcoming competitive examination. However, caution is essential and here are 5 precautions students may please take – especially if they are appearing for on-going CBSE Board Examinations 2019.

CBSE Board Examinations 2019: 5 Important precautions to take while playing Holi

1. Avoid playing with wet colours and stay away from permanent colours as much as possible. While the harm to the skin and hair with chemicals is a concern, the bigger concern for students may be the permanent colours. It could cause problems with their identification.

2. Another evil of permanent colours is that they tend to rub off on white paper over a period of time. Students may wish to avoid them as they may dirty their answer sheets and cause concerns.

3. Use herbal and natural colours. Chemical and artificial colours can lead to allergies and inflammation. Having fun is important but the focus should be on staying healthy.

4. Choose natural drinks like milk, buttermilk and sherbets over cold drinks. The aerated drinks tend to de-hydrate the body. Milk and buttermilk would not only help your body stay cool, it would also refresh and detox the mind while the festival detoxes your mind.

5. Avoid travelling to far-away places and enjoy the festival with family locally. Travelling may add to the fatigue. Also, staying close to home would help you have fun in a safe and healthy manner.

Perhaps the board was also mindful of the festival when it gave a gap between the schedule. The CBSE Class 10 students would be appearing for their English examinations on Saturday, May 23, 2019 while for CBSE Class 12 it is Sanskrit and Legal Studies. With one day gap, many students would be tempted to play Holi tomorrow.

Have a guilt free Holi by preparing ahead of the day. Use the day today to revise so that the day tomorrow can be all fun and happy. We understand that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. So close your books and enjoy the festival. Times Now wishes all a Safe and Happy Holi.
