Burhan Wani death anniversary: Social media sites blocked in J&K, 21K additional forces rushed in
Srinagar: Fearing across the board challenges on the death anniversary of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist commander Burhan Wani, the Jammu and Kashmir police has ordered blocking of all social media websites on lease line in the Valley.
Burhan Wani was killed in a gunfight in Kokarnag region of Anantnag locale on July 8, 2016.
Ever soince the Hizbul terrorist was wiped out, the Valley has seen summer of discontent and months of brutality that left about a hundred people dead.
In a disturbing circumstance for the security forces, numerous notices perusing messages 'Go India Go Back' and 'We need opportunity' have been put over the Valley.
The experts have closed down the Internet services from Thursday night (10 pm).
Cenre is watching out for the Kashmir circumstance and has hurried 21,000 more troops to the Valley to contain the circumstance.
The J&K Police is taking every single preventive measure for keeping up peace over the Valley as it prepares for the main demise commemoration of killed Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist this end of the week, a senior authority said.
"Keeping in see the call of separatists and UJC (United Jehad Council), all the preventive measures that are to be taken in all areas have begun as far as the preventive captures of the heels or to guarantee that no unlawful get together happens," Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Munir Ahmad Khan told correspondents here.
