PM Narendra Modi pays tribute to Lala Lajpat Rai on birth anniversary
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid tribute to Lala Lajpat Rai on his 151st birth commemoration.
Paying praise to the pioneer who is known for his commitment to the Independence development, Modi said Lala Lajpat Rai was regarded for his "courage, faultless trustworthiness and battle against bad form."
Rai, prominently known as Punjab Kesari, was a piece of the "Lal Bal Pal" trio.
He was one of the three radical individuals from the Indian National Congress who gave their life for the autonomy of India alongside Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Bipin Chandra Pal.
Rai was conceived on January 28, 1865, and died on November 17, 1928.
