Meaning of the words of Hare Krishna Maha Mantra –

‘Hare’ refers to the Lord’s energy

‘Krishna’ refers to the all attractive Lord himself

‘Rama’ refers to the Lord as Supreme enjoyer.

These words placed in order, constitute a 16 word mantra:

'Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna ,

Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare,

Hare Rama, Hare Rama,

Rama Rama, Hare Hare.'

(This Maha mantra is often called the mantra for deliverance from the cycle of birth & death)

Although God is everywhere, we need spiritual vision to see Him, & God has made Himself easily available to all through His holy names.

----“Hare” invoke- s that Self-revealing energy.

----“Krishna” sp- ecifically denotes the reservoir of all opulence, the all – attractive Lord who possesses unlimited wealth, fame , beauty, knowledge, strength & renunciation . all people are naturally attracted by these opulence, for God is their fountainhead.

-----“Rama”-  refers to the God as enjoyer of everything. Because we are part & parcel of God, it is our nature to enjoy also, but being finite, we cannot enjoy independently or unlimitedly. God can, however. Everything is meant for his Enjoyment, including us. When we learn to serve the Lord for His enjoyment, we fulfill the real purpose of life.

I was thinking to write about the “Chanting of Holy Name of Lord” & coincidentally I came across one spiritual magazine which we used to subscribe long back. I am glad that with the help of that magazine I could bring something useful in a proper language. This show when you want to do something for the God, ask his mercy & he will grant you the favor.  All one need is a will, a genuine & selfless will to do something for the God & that’s the juncture where miracles begin at every step for the one
