New Delhi: The central secretariat services officers’ society (commonly known as CSSOS) has come up with some green initiatives in their upcoming group housing project in L-Zone, Dwarka in south west Delhi area.
The two major initiatives by the group are Tree in name if each owner and a solar Tree within the residential premises. These initiatives are being taken in line with government’s ambitious projects Green India and clean India.
Under the Tree in the name of owner program, each member of society will be allotted a tree in his/her name and they will be responsible for its care and upkeep. “Protecting the nature is not just an individual affair and we understand it very well. To motivate other people towards environment friendly lifestyles, we must set an example ourselves, said Neh Srivastava, President CSSOS and posted as under secretary, Ministry of home Affairs.
In Solar tree initiative, a common area within society will be given for the solar base in which solar tree will be implanted. Solar tree is an innovative way to generate electricity using solar power in a limited space, which can produce energy efficiently. Central Secretariat Services Officers Society has been formed by Group A officers as a CSR initiative. It is a society of CSS officers, by CSS Officers and for CSS Officers of Central Govt., with an aim to provide not only an affordable housing but also an elite neighborhood. This CSS fraternity has taken a formal and legal shape taking forward the CSS legacy with the approval of its Cadre controlling authority culminating in formation Central Secretariat Services Officers Society (CSSOS).
