Bizarre video surfaces in Pakistan showing Virat Kohli playing for Men in Green in 2025

A commentator announces that the match is between Pakistan and England and he introduces the two openers for Pakistan “two legendary batsmen Babar Azam and Virat Kohli”.

Pakistan is set to observe its defense day on Friday, September 6. On this day, the country remembers the sacrifices made by its soldiers on defending the borders. On the eve of the special occasion, a video came out circulating on the Internet showing India captain Virat Kohli playing for the Men in Green in the 22 yards after Pakistan conquered India. Understandably, the video left the Internet in splits.

According to the video, the two nuclear-armed neighbors in South Asia go to war and India loses it and becomes a part of Pakistan. As a result, Kohli becomes a member of the Pakistan cricket team. The period shown in the video is 2025 and it begins with a scene of the T20 World Cup which is played at the Srinagar Cricket Stadium. A commentator announces that the match is between Pakistan and England and he introduces the two openers for Pakistan “two legendary batsmen Babar Azam and Virat Kohli”.

Watching the match at her home, a girl tells her father, “Dekhna aaj toh Virat Kohli hi match jeetwayega (Virat Kohli will win us this match today, you will see).” To this, her father replied: “Virat Kohli na pehle India ki team mein hota tha (Virat Kohli used to be in Indian team).” To which the children present reply with a surprised look: “Kaun India? (Who is India?)” The man then replies with a conceited smile.

Pakistan was a part of India till August 14-15, 1947, when the two countries became independent as separate entities. Pakistan then had two wings – West and East Pakistan and the later got separated from the former in 1971 to become Bangladesh.

The bizarre video was shared by Pakistani journalist Naila Inayat who gave a realistic caption, “Pakistan cricket team playing in Srinagar, Virat Kohli playing for Pakistan. Just some regular delusions, nothing else.”

Kohli yet to play in Pakistan

Kohli hasn’t played any Test match against Pakistan in the 11 years he is playing international cricket. He has never appeared in a game on Pakistan soil. In the ODIs, he has played 13 games against the arch-rivals and averages around 49 while in the T20Is, he has played in six games against them and averages above 84.
