Hack:

*Cheteshwar Pujara, who was spotted carrying an extra item while batting during Day one of the first Test against West Indies at Rajkot.
*Chesteshwar Pujara came up with own unique way to brave the heat of Rajkot as he was spotted keeping a small water bottle in his pocket and sipped it whenever he wanted.

Many players believe that success is earned through hard work and determination, while some others are convinced that wearing your favorite socks or accessory could help swing their fortunes.

Players and coaches can be a superstitious bunch, and often can bee seen performing a ritual or carrying an item that contributes towards their winning run. The latest yet bizarre testimony to come to the forefront is Cheteshwar Pujara, who was spotted carrying an extra item while batting during Day one of the first Test against West Indies at Rajkot.

After Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bat first, It wasn't the ideal he would've hoped for after KL Rahul departed for a duck after being trapped in front of stumps by Gabriel. This meant Cheteshwar Pujara had to be introduced into the action sooner than expected.

The humid conditions in Rajkot had made it a daunting task for the players on the pitch. However, Chesteshwar Pujara came up with own unique way to brave the weather as he was spotted keeping a small water bottle in his pocket and sipped it whenever he wanted.

However, this video of the incident which was shared by BCCI seemed to have tickled the funny bone of many fans leaving them in splits. Some fans joked about how the right-handed batsman was the first to score a century with a bottle in his pocket, while some poked fun at Ravi Shastri.
Meanwhile, Pujara seemed to have found his form against West Indies after having a dismal outing during the tour of England. Cheteshwar Puajara started off brightly after coming on at the loss of the first wicket. He played his natural game scoring 15 boundaries, but failed to convert his strong start into a century after he was dismissed for 86  Sherman Lewis.

Earlier, 18-year-old Prithvi Shaw smashed a century in 99 balls, and in doing so, became the youngest Indian player to score a ton on Test debut. Further, he became the second youngest Indian to score a hundred in Test cricket, with 'Master Blaster' Sachin Tendulkar the only one ahead of him.
