The stage is set for 2019 Geneva Motor Show from March 5-17, wherein Jeep will be showcasing an array of products in the ‘S’ range. These will include the 2019 Jeep Compass S, Cherokee S and Renegade S. There will also be the Cherokee Trailhawk, Compass Night Eagle, a host of Wrangler editions on display at the Jeep stall.
Set to make an entry into Europe first, the Jeep Compass S will be seen with striking exteriors and well designed interiors to set it apart as a special edition. It will also get several engine and gearbox combinations.
Jeep Compass S will be finished in two tone paint with a pearl white body and contrasting black hood. It will sit on new 19” low gloss granite crystal wheels while other special exterior updates will include signature daylight opening surrounds, bi-xenon headlamps, automatic high beam, power tailgate, front grille, fog lamp outer bezels and a low fascia applique.
Interiors are also given a special touch with black leather upholstery with tungsten stitching, anodized Gun Metal central console bezel, an 8.4 inch Uconnect NAV touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, a Beats audio system and 8 way adjustable electric seats.
Under the hood will be a range of engine and transmission options. Petrol engine on offer will be 1.4 liter MultiAir2. It will come in two tunes of 140 PS/230 Nm and 170 PS/250 Nm. Diesel engines on offer are 1.6 liter (120 PS/320 Nm) and 2 litre MultiJet II. The latter will be offered in two tunes of 140 PS/350 Nm and 170 PS/380 Nm. This special edition Jeep Compass will be offered with an All Wheel Drive system.
Slated to make an entry into European markets later this year, launch of the Jeep Compass S in India is not on the cards. However, the company is working on the Compass Trailhawk, which will launch in the country in the months ahead. It will be offered with 9 speed auto gearbox, making it the first Compass in India to get the advanced new gen transmission with AWD.
