Mahindra XUV300 safety features detailed officially – Video

Mahindra XUV300 which shares its platform with SsangYong Tivoli will come with segment first seven airbags.

 
 

Leading SUV makers in the country, Mahindra ended 2018 on a strong note with launch of the Marazzo MPV and full sized Alturas G4 SUV. Its just the first month of 2019, and Mahindra is all set to launch yet another all-new car. 14th Feb will marks the entry of the cheetah inspired compact SUV, the XUV300.
 
The new Mahindra XUV300 gets a bold design and boasts of some first in class features. It complies with new safety standards set to be introduced in the country later this year.
 
It is based on the same platform as the SsangYong Tivoli. New XUV300 will be offered in variants of W4, W6 and W8 along with a W8(O) and color options of Red Rage, Sunburst Orange, Pearl White, Napoli Black, DSAT Silver and Aquamarine.
 
Compliance to new safety regulations will see the Mahindra XUV300 fitted with ABS, EBD, ESP, four power windows, 7 airbags, disc brakes and ISOFUX child seat mounts along with another mandatory feature of front and rear parking sensors and reverse camera. Safety features are now detailed in official video by Mahindra.
 

Positioned in the sub 4 meter SUV segment, the XUV300 will borrow some features from its larger cousin, the XUV500. These include distinctive front grille, LED projector headlights and LED tail lamps along with pronounced wheel arches and 17” diamond cut alloy wheels.

 
 

Interiors of the XUV300 will receive a beige and black color scheme, a host of onboard comforts among which will be dual zone climate control, dual tone dashboard, touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual pod instrument console and height adjustable driver seat and rear head rests.

Engine specifications on the Mahindra XUV300 will include a 1.5 liter diesel engine offering 123 hp power and 300 Nm torque and a 1.2 liter G80 turbocharged petrol engine capable of 200 Nm torque. At launch, both engines options will be offered with a 6 speed manual transmission. Automatic transmission will be launched later.
 
Bookings for the XUV300 are now open at a down payment of Rs.20,000 while prices will range from Rs.8-12 lakhs. It will rival the Maruti Brezza and Tata Nexon upon launch.
