Manze, an Ahmedabad based start-up unveiled their first electric sports bike at the recently concluded 2018 Auto Expo. The bike is priced at Rs 2,79,999 (ex-showroom). One can pre-book their bike for a token amount of Rs 10,000.
Menza has partnered exclusively with Paytm Mall and prospecting customers can directly book their bike on the mobile app. Bookings open until 28th February.
Menza is offering a battery lease programme for Rs 4,000 a month with which the cost of the bike comes down to Rs 1,79,000. The bike will go on sale in Bengaluru, Pune, Lucknow, Goa, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Nainital, and Nagpur. Deliveries are slated to start by the last quarter of 2018 as per official statement.
The Menza Lucat gets a 18kW electric motor which develops a maximum of 24bhp and 60Nm, drawing power from a 72V Li-ion battery pack which comes with a smart BMS system. The range is 100kms in city traffic conditions which increases to 150km on the highways.
Here's the juiciest part, Menza offers a track package which provides info on speed limiting and battery drainage and a button launch control.
