PUBG bans 30,000 cheaters, including 16 professional players: Here

PUBG has deployed the Battleye anti-cheat software on its servers to detect the use of Radar Hack on its servers. The tool has so far banned up to 30,000 players, including 16 professional players.

HIGHLIGHTS

*With the Radar Hack cheat, players can make the game share information about other players on the map.
*The cheat lets players monitor the position of enemies in real-time through a secondary monitor or a smartphone.
*The Battleye software identifies the popular Radar Hack cheat on individual accounts and bans the users.

PUBG is easily one of the most hyped games to hit the market this year. Players have lapped up the battle royale game in large numbers, making it a hot topic of discussion across offices, schools, public places and others. However, as with every game that goes superhit on the mass scale, PUBG also drew in a lot of attention for allowing players to use various cheats and gain advantage illegally over others. The developers did an anti-cheat drive earlier this year and were successful up to an extent. Yet, cheaters came up with several other ways to exploit the loopholes of the game, indirectly gaining an unfair advantage. Hence, another round of the anti-cheat drive was undertaken.

PUBG Corporation has reportedly undertaken an anti-cheat drive on its servers to flag players who use various cheats as well as hacks to gain an unfair advantage over other players. The Battleye software identifies the popular Radar Hack cheat on individual accounts and flags the users, eventually banning them from the game. The latest incident of the software's usage has resulted in banning 30,000 players on PUBG, including some of the well-known players of the game on the global platform.

For those who in the unknown, the Radar Hack cheat helps the players get an unprecedented advantage over other players. In a typical PUBG match, up to 100 players land on the map and dash to get the loot as well as acquire strategic positions to get the highest kill numbers. The in-game map only shows the layout of the world and the position of the blue zone, alongside the location of teammates as well as markers. With the Radar Hack cheat, players can essentially hack the game to their advantage by making the game share information about other players on the map. The cheat lets players monitor the position of enemies in real-time through a secondary monitor or a smartphone.

However, every time the developers make use of the anti-cheat software, several innocent players are caught up in the net and are banned from playing the game. While the game has successfully banned around 30,000 cheaters, the names include 16 of the most popular players in the community. 'Can Ozdemir', also known as TEXQS in the world of PUBG representing the Pittsburgh Knights has been banned and is under investigation for utilising the Radar Hack cheat. Along with TEXQS, other popular players from the PUBG universe, including Papaya, Cageman, PlayerJones, Hoffmann88, Sezk0, Houlow, and Kraqen, have been banned for now.

However, do note that the anti-cheat software doesn't apply to PUBG MOBILE for now. Therefore, players of the mobile version can keep on playing the game. The latest Vikendi update to the mobile version allows players to report for suspicious behaviour in-game.
