Vivo Y95 with ‘waterdrop’ notch display launched in India: Price, Specifications, Features and more

Vivo Y95 features Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 439 SoC and 4GB RAM.

Vivo has launched its latest mid-range smartphone in ‘Y Series’ – the Vivo Y95 – in India at Rs 16,990. The smartphone boasts a ‘waterdrop’ notch display, dual-rear camera setup, and 4GB RAM. It comes in Starry Night and Nebula Purple color options.

The Vivo Y95 isn’t exactly a new smartphone. It was first launched in China earlier this month. The handset features Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 439 SoC, based on the 12nm fabrication node.

Vivo Y95: Price and Launch Offers

Priced at Rs 16,990, Vivo Y95 will be available across leading online platforms (Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm), all offline partner outlets and Vivo India E-store starting today.

Vivo is offering No Cost EMI (upto 15 months on Credit Cards, Debit Cards and Bajaj Finance EMI cards). It will be available with Rs 1500 cashback on Paytm. The company has also partnered with Reliance Jio for benefits worth Rs 4,000 along with 3TB free data.

Vivo Y95: Specifications and Features

Upfront, the Vivo Y95 has a 6.2-inch HD+ display, 88.6 percent screen-to-body ratio as well as a ‘waterdrop’ notch. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 439 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, with support for microSD card of up to 256GB. For imaging, the Vivo Y95 features a dual-lens camera system at the back, comprised of a 13-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor.

There’s also a 20-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies and video calls. The smartphone has all standard connectivity features, ranging from Wi-Fi to 3.5mm audio port, and even features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It supports face unlock and AI beautify features by Vivo.

Backing up the whole package is a 4,030mAh battery, but there’s no fast charging support. The smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box, with Vivo’s Funtouch OS UI overlay baked on top.
