7 TV Actors Who Went Onto Become Big Bollywood Celebrities Prove No Opportunity Is Too Small

"From humble beginnings come great things," wrote an anonymous poet.

This beautiful line especially holds true for some of our favourite Bollywood celebrities who are known and respected for their talent and skill in the Indian Film industry. Not everyone who has made it big in Bollywood was born in a film dynasty or was raised with a silver spoon. Some truly worked their way to the top!

Below, you'll discover a list of those superstars who started small and humble by acting in television shows and built an irreplaceable place for themselves in the industry and our hearts by sheer hard work.

1. Irrfan

Late actor Irrfan whose exceptional acting talent didn't just keep him bound to Bollywood but the world is the perfect example of someone who had humble beginnings and went onto win the world. While counting his success, a lot of people forget how he actually started his illustrious acting career via short roles in TV shows. He featured in television serials like Chanakya, Bharat Ek Khoj, Banegi Apni Baat, and Chandrakanta. Irrfan worked hard and made his way straight to our hearts, where he will live forever.

2. Shah Rukh Khan

Isn't it remarkable that the king of Bollywood made his acting debut on the small screen? Shah Rukh Khan was first seen in a TV show called Fauji in 1988. He acted n four more TV shows- Circus (1989), Ummeed (1989), and Wagle Ki Duniya (1988-’90) before landing a small gig in a film titled, In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones (1989).  The rest, as they say, is history!

4. Vidya Balan

One of our all-time favourite shows, Hum Paanch not only gifted us some iconic dialogues and childhood memories but also Vidya Balan who acted in the show. A string of small TV appearances later, the actress made her debut in one of the biggest hits of Indian Cinema, Parineeta in 2005. Ever since Vidya Balan has delivered one brilliant performance after the other starting with Kahaani to Dirty Picture. The actress has also won the coveted National Award and a Padma Shri too for her exceptional acting skills.

Sushant Singh Rajput was not just a known face in the television industry but a highly beloved one too.
