Budget Of Sanjay Mishra's 'Kaamyaab' Is Lower Than The Cost Of Vanity Vans On The Sets Of Big Films

Budget Of Sanjay Mishra

Do we really need kick-ass visuals, big stars and a humongous budget for a movie to become successful at the box office? Every year, there are several low-budget films that are released but they are ignored by a major chunk of audience. These films don't have a huge budget for marketting, and perhaps, that is one of the major reasons why they go unnoticed by the audiences.

While we keep cribbing that Bollywood is only making biopics and remakes of classics, it's sad that several great small-budget films like Ankhon Dekhi go unnoticed.

Sanjay Mishra, alumnus of National School of Drama, is a powerhouse of acting. He has been in the industry for about three decades now. Whatever role he portrays in the movie, he aces it to perfection. But did you know, he struggled a lot before his talent was recognised in the industry.

In his next, he is bringing a similar struggle story of extras in Indian cinema. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, he recently revealed that "the budget of Kaamyaab is lower than the cost of vanity vans parked on the sets of big budget films."

The film is being produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment in collaboration with Drishyam Films.

"I am so happy and speechless that Khan sahab is supporting this kind of cinema and taking responsibility to showcase it to everyone. The movie was shot last year and Shah Rukh has no (acting) role in it. He is supporting the film as a presenter," Mishra told IANS

Kaamyaab traces the bittersweet journey of a once-famous side actor Sudheer played by Mishra who struggles with his life in the present. He has been a part of 499 movies. How his life turns out, remains to be seen in the movie, which also stars Deepak Dobriyal.

The movie is slated to release on March 6.
