Acting is a true talent but becoming a star requires a lot more than just acting. Thankfully, not every actor is crazy about fame and money and some of them are truly dedicated to their passion for performing in front of the camera. These are the actors who always get sidelined by mainstream cinema. In the end, their contribution to a big-budget film is hardly ever recognized and even if it does, it’s always overshadowed by the stardom and glam of the movie. This is true for most of the movie industries but it’s pretty evident in Bollywood. But we’re glad that we have actors who concentrate on gifting true movie lovers a taste of good cinema rather than show off their six-packs and make masala movies.

If you aren’t an ardent film lover, you wouldn’t even know some of these actors and their contributions to the film industry. But these actors truly deserve to be recognized for their talent and hard work, which is why we thought we’ll introduce you to some of them in this article. So, go ahead and read about some of the finest actors of Bollywood who don’t run behind stardom but totally deserve it.

1. Radhika Apte

If you’ve seen Lust Stories, another hit Netflix mini-series, you’d know how amazing Radhika Apte is! For her role in the miniseries, she is nominated for the International Emmys Best Actress Award this year. Also, Lust Stories and Sacred Games both mini-series in which Radhika Apte acted has been nominated for the award in their particular category for the Emmys. Now you can imagine the quality of the projects she acts in, right? Also, don’t forget to watch the mini-series Ghoul in which Radhika gave an appreciable performance.

However, her choice of movies keeps her away from most of the glitz and glamour. You may know her, but how many of her movies have you seen? Apart from movies, she also acts in the popular Netflix series Sacred Games and has done pretty well until now.

Must Watch Films Of Kalki: Shanghai, Dev D, That Girl In Yellow Boots, Margarita With A Straw, Waiting

5. Abhay Deol

Abhay Deol is another actor whose talent goes beyond limits. He is probably the least popular Deol because he doesn’t chase stardom. He has done some pretty amazing work over the years and his selection of movies is awe-inspiring. If you love movies that really mean something, you should follow Abhay Deol’s career.

7. Manoj Bajpayee

The recipient of two National Awards is rocking in the Amazon Prime series The Family Man these days. Manoj Bajpayee has been working in Bollywood for a long time but not many of us know much about him. This is definitely because he values his career in terms of acting and not in terms of stardom and money.

Must Watch Films Of Manoj: Satya, Shool, Pinjar, Gangs Of Wasseypur, Special 26, Aligarh

These are only a few names out of a big pool. Actors like Ratna Pathak Shah, Supriya Pathak, Vikrant Massey, Pankaj Tripathi, Atul Kulkarni, Kay Kay Menon, Nandita Das, Richa Chaddha, Tabu, and Shweta Tripathi also deserve to be in the above list. We hope that with time, the viewers start to appreciate true acting skills rather than flashy dances and masala plot lines and actors like these will earn their rightful place in the spotlight.
