Karan Johar hosts Maheep Kapoor’s birthday party. Shanaya, Malaika, more in pics
The usual Bollywood suspects - Karan Johar, Malaika Arora, Sidharth Malhotra and others - were in attendance for designer Maheep Kapoor’s birthday party. See pics.
Bollywood director Karan Johar threw a grand birthday party for jewellery designer Maheep Kapoor, wife of actor Sanjay Kapoor, at his Mumbai residence on Saturday. Besides the usual Bollywood crowd of sisters Amrita Arora and Malaika Arora, actors Sidharth Malhotra and Arjun Kapoor, Maheep’s daughter Shanaya was also present.
Amrita posted a picture from the party on her Instagram account, while Sanjay Kapoor shared a video of the cake cutting ceremony, complete with everyone singing Happy Birthday.

Maheep’s nephew Mohit Marwah arrived with his wife Antara, while Dino Morea was accompanied by designer Nandita Mahtani. There are also rumours of more celebrations in the Kapoor family, with Sonam Kapoor, daughter of Sanjay’s brother Anil Kapoor, rumoured to be getting married in May.
Photos of Anil’s Mumbai home seemingly decked up for celebrations made their way onto the internet recently. Maheep and Sanjay married in 1999 and also have a son together. Maheep owns several jewellery stores around the world.
