With Christmas around the corner, the award season too is upon us and while its time our favourite actors to dazzle, dance and shine brightly at various award functions red carpet, it is also a time for them to get that trophy home for excelling on the 70mm.
And while the award functions have already begun, not just Bollywood actors, but stars from across the border are also receiving appreciation for their films this year. Last night Dubai witnessed the 10th Masala! Awards 2017 and what was special about the event was that it brought both Bollywood and the Pakistani artists under one roof. The show was held at Bollywood Parks, Dubai Parks and Resorts where it witnessed the star galore.
And while the ladies dazzled in gowns and men stole hearts in tuxedos a picture of designer Manish Malhotra with some leading ladies of the film industry is going viral. In the picture, Mahira Khan, Sridevi, Saba Qamar and Mawra Hocane are seen posing with Manish and boy the picture is too hot for one frame.
Manish Malhotra shared the picture on Instagram and captioned it as, “picture time with all the gorgeous girls #theoneandonly @sridevi.kapoor, @mahirahkhan, @mawrellous @sabaqamarzaman.”
Well, not only did these ladies win hearts last night they also won some awards. While Sridevi was felicitated for being the Cinematic Legend of the Year, Mahira Khan won the Asian Woman of Substance Award. Saba Qamar was bestowed with the trophy for Best Breakthrough Performance for her Bollywood debut film Hindi Medium, while the Sanam Teri Kasam actress Mawra Hocane was awarded for being the Social Media Sensation.
The event was hosted by Boman Irani and other than the ladies Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal was awarded for his contribution in Hindi Cinema. Govinda too bagged the award for the Dancing Legend of Bollywood.
Well, with some pictures and videos coming in looks like it was quite a starry night.
