Vignesh Shivn on his relationship with Nayanthara: There’s so much friendship in this love. See pic
She is the lady superstar of Tamil cinema and he is among the most promising filmmakers down south. Just last year, Nayanthara notched up two impressive hits, Velaikkaran and Aramm, the latter being a heroine-led film. Vignesh Shivn is clearly among the most promising directors in Kollywood today as his last two directorials--Naanum Rowdydhaan and Thaanaa Serndha Koottam, have both hit the bull’s eye.
Naturally then news of them dating was among the high points in Kollywood gossip circles. They are said to be dating for over two years now but have not spoken about their relationship publically. The couple routinely posts pictures of their holidays abroad and every Christmas a picture of them posing by a gigantic Christmas tree is quite a constant now.
However, this is perhaps the closest they have come to saying that they are in love. On the occasion of Friendship Day, Vignesh posted a picture of the two of them together, perhaps from one of the holidays abroad, which says so much about their relationship status.
Sharing the picture, Vignesh wrote: “There’s so much of friendship in this Love and a lot more love in this friendship #HappyFriendShipDay #Nayanthara.” We think it is very adorable.
Earlier this year, Nayanthara had come close to letting the world know that she was in love but she had stopped short of naming her “special somebody”. Speaking at an event organised by The Hindu in March this year, where the actor was awarded for overall excellence in the field of entertainment, she had thanked her parents, brother and her fiance for supporting her. Though she didn’t name Vignesh Shivn, the world could safely assume that it was Vignesh she was talking about.
The couple’s relationship has been speculated about for nearly two and half years now. At one point, there were reports that they had secretly married in Kerala. However, these rumours eventually died down.
