Months after her death, retired Delhi-cop claims Sridevi was murdered

Retired cop claims Sidevi was murdered

A retired cop has made a sensational claim in the death of actress Sridevi, and said she was murdered, reports IB Times.

Ved Bhushan, a retired Delhi Police ACP said it looked like a planned murder.

"It's very easy to put someone in bathtub forcefully until victims breathing stops without leaving evidence of the crime, and label it as an accidental death," he said.

Cop slams Dubai police investigation in Sridevi's case
The legendary actress was found unconscious in a bathtub of her hotel room in Dubai, on February 24 this year.

The autopsy done by Dubai police credited accidental drowning as the reason for her death.

"With all respect towards Dubai law, we were not satisfied with their report on Sridevi's death," Ved said. He even visited Dubai to unearth the 'exact' reason behind it.

Ved Bhushan recreates scene after visiting Dubai
Ved Bhushan said he visited the Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai but was prevented from entering Sridevi's room.

He then reportedly recreated the series of events in the adjacent room.

"Sridevi died mysteriously and questions need to be answered, some questions posed after her death were relevant and logical. We felt something was hidden," he said. He even asked why the case was closed so soon.

Earlier, SC refused probe in Sridevi's death
Ved Bhushan is not the only one who raised a question about Sridevi's death.

Earlier, a petitioner Sunil Singh had approached the Supreme Court seeking an investigation into the actress' death.

Rejecting his plea, the apex court said they can't interfere.

Now that the retired cop has once again called for an investigation, will a probe into her death follow? Only time will tell.
