Senior Journalist Gauri Lankesh Shot Dead In Bengaluru

Gauri Lankesh, a senior South Dravidian journalist celebrated for her criticism of Hindu ideology, was shot dead at her home on weekday evening.

According to police, a minimum of 3 suspects were concerned and Lankesh was found dead on her porch around 8pm with bullet wounds to her head and chest. tv reports same seven bullets were unemployed at her and 3 hit her.

Lankesh, 55, was the female offspring of far-famed poet-turned-journalist P Lankesh. She was the editor of Hindu deity Lankesh Patrike, writing usually against Sangh organisations and communal violence within the country.
