There are so many things you plan for your baby shower! It is one of the most special days of your life and it sucks if something goes wrong. This is what happened with this mom-to-be.
She shared her ordeal on Facebook and shared the picture of the cake, which was in the shape of a pregnant woman’s torso, wearing a yellow dress and a pearl necklace. And what follows doesn’t look one bit appealing for a cake anyway.
The cake is made paying attention to special elements of the dress and flowers on it. The rose flower belt on the waist, the buttons on the dress and the ruffled border are perfectly on point. But the transparent womb of the woman might just weird you out. In the transparent womb, a toy baby can be seen wearing a diaper and floating in gelatin.
People on social media took no time in pointing out how unappealing it was and decided to call it a monstrosity.
In another ‘cake-gone-wrong’ incident, Rena Davis (the bride) from Griffin, Georgia, paid a baker Rs 21,310 for her ideal peacock-themed celebration cake, featuring two birds, a heart-shaped sponge, and chocolate cupcakes. Everything went according to plan, that was until it didn't.
After the baker left, Rena realised that the icing was actually buttercream - after one of the bird’s heads fell off. And what’s worse than that - the baker refused to offer a refund.
Erm, you might want to pick a simple cake off the shelf, because elaborate ones seem to be more prone to disaster.
