Video: Kapil Sharma presents Punjabi film 'Son Of Manjeet Singh' starring Gurpreet Ghuggi
The ace comedian Kapil Sharma who was once known as the King of Comedy and his spontaneous jokes would leave everyone in splits, has been in the new for quite sometime now, but only for the wrong reasons.
Post his deteriorating health, termination of The Kapil Sharma Show and debacle of his Bollywood film Firangi, the actor-comedian seems to be trying hard to back on his feet.
This time round, again Kapil is in the news, but to present a Punjabi film Son of Manjeet Singh, which will see Gurpreet Ghuggi in a key role.
The actor announced the good news by sharing a video on his Twitter handle and captioned it, “The heart touching story of Manjeet Singh n his son. Punjabi film “Son of Manjeet Singh”. Releasing on 12th oct 2018. First look coming soon. Need ur blessings @SCMPicture @Saga_Hits @GurpreetGhuggi @SumeetSinghM @vikramgrover201."
Son of Manjeet Singh's co-producer Sumeet Singh also shared the video along with a caption which reads, “THE BIG REVEAL! Proud to associate with @KapilSharmaK9, the man with an unparalelled comic timing, to present a gripping tale titled ‘Son of Manjeet Singh’- a @SCMPicture, #K9Films, and @GurpreetGhuggi presentation! Coming back to Kapil Sharma, the superstar of comedy is working hard to win back the love and support of his fans and followers.
A source close to him earlier shared with indianexpress.com, “Kapil really needed this break to introspect on his life and career. The fallout with his The Kapil Sharma Show co-stars and the failure of Firangi really left him disturbed. While he assumed that launching Family Time with Kapil Sharma will ease out his problems, it only made matters worse. Added to that, the entire fiasco with the journalist and the Simoes sisters further left him distraught. It was too much to handle for him. But now, after spending a good amount of time traveling with his family, Kapil is rejuvenated and raring to get back to entertaining his audience. He has also decided to hire a personal trainer and get back in shape.”
The last time we saw Kapil was when he shared a happy picture of him along with his dog shihtzu.
At the moment, rumours are rife that Kapil Sharma will soon be back with a TV show, but nothing is confirmed as yet.
