OnePlus 5T with edge-to-edge display to launch in November: Report

Beijing, Oct 9 (IANS) Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is reportedly gearing up to release OnePlus 5T in November this year.
The biggest upgrade is said to be in display, with the company increasing the screen size of the 5T model to 6-inches with 2160 x 1080p resolution, thereby making it an 18:9 smartphone for better visual experience, GizmoChina reported on Monday.
The successor to OnePlus 5 seems to take a cue from Samsung Galaxy S8 on the front with narrow bezels on the top as well as the bottom and a taller-than-wider design language.
“The launch is said to be around early November so there isn’t a lot of time left for its official unveiling of the device,” the report added.
OnePlus 5 with dual rear cameras was launched in India in June in two variants -- 6GB RAM/64GB storage and 8GB RAM/128GB storage for Rs 32,999 and Rs 37,999, respectively.
The device houses 16MP+20MP rear dual-camera combination and 16MP front shooter.
Smartphones with 18:9 aspect ratio or edge-to-edge displays are a rage now and China-based Vivo also introduced a 18:9 aspect ratio flagship device in September.
