Vrat Ke Chawal Recipe

Vrat Ke Chawal or samak ke chawal are easy and quick to make. These vrat ke chawal keeps you full for atleast 3 to 4 hours. Learn how to make vrat ke chawal.

Ingredients:

1.125 gms samak ke chaawal
2.2 cloves
3.3 cup water
4.2 - 3 cashewnuts fried
5.30 gm ghee
6.2 tsp kala namak
7.1 tsp cumin seeds
8.1/2 tsp chilli powder
9.1 big size potato, diced
10.cinnamon stick, tiny piece
11.Green Coriander leaves for garnishing

How to make vrat ke chawal :

1.Heat up ghee, mix in cumin seeds, cloves, cardamoms and cinnamon.
2.When slightly coloured, mix in potato and rice.
3.Stir-fry till they look a bit fried.
4.Mix in salt, chilli powder and water, and bring to a boil.
5.Lower the flame and simmer, covered, for about 15 minutes or till cooked through and the water is absorbed.
6.Decorate with coriander leaves and serve hot.
