Do Celebrities Own ALL The Clothes They Wear? Here

It’s common to feel like celebrities have all the clothes in the world, but how much truth is in that statement? Today’s the day you find out. The thing with our favourite celebs is that they always seem to be wearing the best of clothes...outfits we wouldn’t be able to afford, outfits we wouldn’t be able to even find in the market. They don’t (mostly)  repeat clothes either. All of which raises the obvious question, what happens to all these clothes?

A.They’re not bought

You’d think all the clothes they wear, they buy. BUT, that’s usually hardly ever true. Even if they can afford it, mostly all celebrities and influencers have their clothes sourced by their stylists or styling team. Sourcing essentially means that they are given only for a particular event or appearance,  not for keeping forever. They too, have to return it.

B. Sourcing several options

In all those BTS videos of celebs like Deepika Padukone or Priyanka Chopra getting ready with a wardrobe of clothes beside them? All are sourced. So basically, depending on the importance of the event, several options are sourced from different labels, brands and designers. This number can go up to over 20-25 if need be. Like for Deepika’s Met Gala look, we’re certain nothing less than that number was sourced. Sourcing also includes jewellery, shoes, head gear, bags--everything!!

C. When designers decide to gift

A lot of the outfits worn by celebs are often given to them as a goodwill gesture of sorts, which also serves as  free promotion for brands. A lot of upcoming brands also look to gift big names, outfits from their collections because it is a new form of influencer marketing. These, they can keep for themselves because they’re gifts to them. You’ll see Sonam Kapoor, Disha Patani and even Kylie Jenner put up Instagram stories thanking different brands for their free stuff! Celebs almost always get gifts so if they put up 4 stories, remember they’ve probably received 400 gifts in reality!

D. When they buy

This is the only strategy we relate to and probably the most normal. Also, completely self-explanatory. They have enough money to not look at price tags so that’s it.
